Lake Area Foundation List of Funds

The Lake Area Foundation is a community foundation serving the ten counties of Adair, Casey, Clinton, Cumberland, Green, McCreary, Pulaski, Russell, Taylor, and Wayne in South Central Kentucky. We are a collection of endowed charitable funds created by individuals, families, companies, nonprofit organizations and community entities to benefit different charitable organizations and causes throughout South Central Kentucky.

Region-Wide Funds:

Lake Area Foundation Operating Fund - A general operations fund.

Lake Cumberland Area Development Fund – Started by the Ron and Donna Diaz Family as an unrestricted fund to benefit the ten county Lake Cumberland region.

Pat Bell Administrative Fund – Started by staff of the Lake Cumberland Area Development District for the purpose of securing on-going professional administration of the Lake Area Foundation.

Bethany House Fund - The Bethany House Fund supports a domestic violence shelter serving the ten counties in the Lake Cumberland Area Development District.

Lake Cumberland Children's Advocacy Center Fund - The Advocay Center Fund serves victims of alleged child sexual abuse and their families in the counties of Adair, Casey, Cumberland, Clinton, Green, McCreary, Pulaski, Wayne, Russell and Taylor.

Multi-County Funds:

ARC Pregnancy Center Fund - ARC Pregnancy Center Fund proceeds go to support and encourage the women and babies in our community.

Funds by County:

Adair County:

Adair County Courthouse Preservation Fund – Started by Dan Antle for the on-going preservation of the Adair County Courthouse.
Adair County Women's Circle Fund – Started by the Adair County Women's Circle to fund unmet needs in Adair County.
Lindsey Wilson College Fund– Started by Dan Antle to fund the on-going needs of Lindsey Wilson College.

Casey County:

Casey County Community and Educational Center's College Operating Fund - The fund was started to provide maintenance and operating funds for the Casey County Community and Educational Center.
Musselink Beautification Fund - This fund was started to provide funding for flowers and other beatufication projects in the City of Liberty.
Linda Hatter Scholarship Fund - This scholarship fund will support students at the Casey County Educational Center.
Casey College Capital Fund - This fund will support the Casey County Educational Center.

Clinton County:

Albany Volunteer Fire Department Equipment Fund - This fund will provide funding to the AVFD for equipment.
Clinton County Women's Circle Fund - Started by the Clinton County Women's Circle to fund unmet needs in Clinton County.

Cumberland County:

Cumberland County Development Fund - Unrestricted – Started to fund unmet needs in Cumberland County.

Green County:

Green County Development Fund - Unrestricted – Started to fund unmet needs in Green County.

McCreary County:

McCreary County Christian Care Center Fund – The fund was started to address unmet needs in McCreary County.

Pulaski County:

Pulaski County Women's Circle Fund - Started by the Pulaski County Women's Circle to fund unmet needs in Pulaski County.

Russell County:

Russell County's God's Food Pantry Fund – Started by an anonymous donor to provide food for needy families in Russell County.
Russell County Habitat for Humanity Fund – Started by an anonymous donor to support the Russell County Chapter of Habitat for Humanity.
Russell County Development Fund - Unrestricted – Started by Dr. Jerry D. Westerfield to fund unmet needs in Russell County.
Russell County Emergency Shelter Fund – Started by an anonymous donor to provide unmet needs for The Inn through the Russell County Emergency Shelter Board.
Russell County Women's Circle Fund – Started by the Russell County Women's Circle to fund unmet needs in Russell County.

Taylor County:

Durham School Legacy Fund - Started to support legacy projects by the students and faculty of the Durham School.
Taylor County Women's Circle Fund -
Started by the Taylor County Women's Circle to fund unmet needs in Taylor County.

Wayne County:

Wayne County Development Fund - Unrestricted – Started to fund unmet needs in Wayne County.
